Expert Lecture on “Basic Metals & Their Characteristics”

Department of Mechanical Engineering organized an Expert Lecture on “Basic Metals & Their Characteristics”. By Mr. Manohar Baheti, Chairmen, Dee Tee Industries Ltd., Indore. The expert told us the importance of basics and fundamentals to be a successful mechanical engineer. He told us that the Mechanical Engineering branch is revolving around four aspects that are units, metals, metallurgy and processes. A slight change incarbon percentage can lead to drastic changes in any material. He also shared his working experiences of the industry. For the interview purposes also fundamentals of basic mechanical engineering are very important. In the expert lecture, the topics that are covered are aspects of metals, classification of iron steel and explained the process of making pipes.
