Highlights:

It was a privilege listening to Dr. S. S. Nayyar, an Oncologist by profession. Title ODTS SCHOLAR has been conferred to him by General Medical Council, Royal College of Surgeons of England. He is the founder trustee of cancer care “ Shanti Avedna Trust”. Presently, he is working as Medical Director at Raman Cancer Care, Rau, Indore. He told the audience about cancer, its signs and symptoms. He told the gathered youths, about hazards of smoking. He said that no matter what tobacco, in any form, is dangerous to one’s health. There are no safe substances in any tobacco products, that is from acetone and tar to nicotine and carbon monoxide. The substances which we inhale not only affect our lungs but our entire body. He also discussed about the mortality rate for smokers which is three times that of people who never smoked. Tobacco causes bleeding and cancers of the mouth and throat.
His talk was supported with number of ugly and shaky slides of his patients suffering from the fatal disease.
