Event: Workshop on Design Thinking by Dr. B Tirumala Rao, Scientist F, RRCAT, Indore under the aegis of Institution’s Innovation Cell

Objective – To imbue students with Design Thinking skills

Audience Profile – Students and Faculty members of ECE Department.

Speaker – Dr. Tirumala Rao Bitra

Dr. B Tirumala Rao obtained his M.Sc degree in Physics in 1998 from Nagarjuna University and completed one year orientation course in Bhabha Atomic Research centre (BARC) in 1999. He is currently working as a Scientific Officer, Materials Engineering Section, Laser Materials Processing Division, RRCAT, Indore, M.P.

About the Event:
In the session, Dr. Tirumala spoke about the ways a student can make his mere idea to a project. According to him, one should get an idea, work on it no matter how difficult it is or how many times you fail you should work on it. He maintained the Design thinking flow from Emphasize, Define Ideate, to Prototype design Testing.
The session was very interactive. He kept on talking to the students in order to know how they have worked on various projects of their own. He then gave tips and offered to help them as well. According to him, if you have knowledge no one can hide you in this generation. You have the entire social platform to showcase your talent. Knowledge can be anything such as coding skills and robotics for an electronic student.

Key Points:
 Your wish will only come true if you perform.
 Take an idea chase it even if it is crazy.
