Developer Student Clubs Acropolis (DSC) under the umbrella of Information Technology (IT) Department, Acropolis Institute Of Technology And Research, organized a session on “Open Source & Dynamic/Competitive Programming”.
The Session was led by the - Mr. Ashish K.- Software Engineer at Barclays and
Mr. Abizer Lokhandwala- Software Engineer at CodeNation.
They encouraged the attendees to participate in Contests and enhance their coding skills by practicing problems on platforms
BASICS OF DATA STRUCTURES
On December 26, 2020, Developer Student Clubs Acropolis (DSC) under the umbrella of Information Technology (IT) Department, Acropolis Institute Of Technology And
Research in collaboration with 8 other DSC’s from across India,
including DSC-AISSMS-COE, Pune, organized a virtual session on “BASICS OF DATA STRUCTURES” via with an intent to let the future engineers know the importance of Data Structures and they being an evergreen topic in interviews and placements.
Introduction to Git & GitHub
DSC Acropolis in collaboration with Developer Circles from Facebook organized a Session on “Introduction to Git & GitHub”.
Taken ahead by Mr. Mrinal Jain – Community Manager
at Facebook Developers Circle. The workshop was centred around the introduction to GIT, which was then followed by a hands-on workshop to execute the GIT commands.
The workshop was not only attended by the students of Acropolis but also by the DSC Leads from other colleges.
DSC WOW was one of the biggest collaborations with 116 DSC’s coming together, DSC Acropolis being one of the collaborators with a Eight Day series of events comprising of webinars and technical workshops followed by a virtual hackathon.
2020 to December 13, 2020 turned to be no less than a Week that opened up with lots of learnings, memories and minds that competed to build over technical solutions!
DSC WOW brought Developers, Engineers, Data Scientists, Project Managers, and DevOps technologists to compete over 48 hours to develop creative solutions to real-world problems.
Programming Languages and the Importance of Coding
To make the school students aware about the latest trends
in Programming Languages and the Importance of Coding, a Webinar was planned
by Team DSC
Acropolis. With an objective to let the students know the demands of this Technological Era,
it was an engaging session that received positive feedbacks from the student attendees from various
schools who were a part of it.
AITR DSC MEET 2020
Developer Student Clubs Acropolis (DSC AITR) organized a virtual “AITR DSC MEET 2020”
with an intent to give an overview of DSC, how does it work and what is it that’s
in store for the students. The Meet was a walk back through the last year’s events followed by a reflection
of the roadmap of events planned for the year 2020-21, that was presented by Ms. Tanvi Rathi
(DSC Lead) for the year 2020-21
In teaching others, we teach ourselves
In order to teach other students and to pass what we have learnt the team of
Developer Student Club AITR organized a full day hands on workshop on GCP essentials
on March 19th 2019 for the students of 2nd year under the leadership of Rachna Agarwal and team.
The students seek knowledge and were very keen to learn these new qwiklabs.
The students were pantomaths throughout the event and enjoyed thoroughly.
There was a good strength of 50 students overall. The workshop was divided into 2 labs for the better understanding of students. The team for the sake of teaching each and every student properly, completed all the qwiklabs and learnt all about gcp essentials before they took the workshop for 2nd year students. The workshop took place in the Labs of IT department (226) from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. The students were overjoyed and gave us suggestions on what they wanted to learn next. The trainers were quite thorough in their explanation and did a great job. The team worked together as a whole and made this event possible.
Every great achiever is inspired by a great mentor
There was an educational event conducted for the students of IT department on March 12th 2019 in the AITR auditorium. The main guests for the event were Dr. Kamal Kishore Sethi
, Mr. Atul N Bharat, Dr. SC Sharma and all the faculties of IT department.
Our H.O.D. Dr. Kamal Kishore Sethi embraced us with his presence and explained us the importance of every subject that is taught to us in college. He added that how internships and other online courses are an important consideration when it comes to placement and recruitments. His earnest thoughts are really a guideline for all of us. He left us with a very promising and life changing quote, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail”.
CLOUD FEST 2K19
The ‘CLOUD FEST 2K19’ was organized on July 27th 2019 in the Acropolis Institute of Technology and Research.
The main motto of the event was to make students learn about application development in python and networking.
Students were very brio to attend the event. There were around 227 registrations out of which 170 students attended
the event.Students outside the Indore also attended the event through the ‘meet up’. The event was an offshoot of the
efforts of the two clubs, ‘Google DSC’ and ‘GDG’
.The guest of honorwas Mr. Pradhan Yash (Community Leader GDG) and Mr. Tushar Pal (core committee member GDG).
