The department of the mechanical engineering had organized a talk on “Innovation for Resurgent India” by Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, Minister of Human Resource Development, Government of India for students, faculty members and staff of Mechanical dept. united on Thursday, 22 August 2019 in CAD Lab and session live from 11:00 AM. The program was the fifth session in a series conducted by Institution Innovation Council, an initiative by the ministry
of MHRD, Govt. of India under India first leadership talk series. It was an enlightening session as we learned from experiences and learnings from his career. Dr.Pokhriyal Sir started by talking about hard work and the efforts a student should make at his level best to make his or her career bright. He also said that “There is no option to hard work” by which he want to say that if you want to get success in life then there is no shortcut for it, you have to work harder and harder and put all your efforts for making the work done perfectly. He also stated that the education is the most important tool for a student as well as the for any country. When asked about the current war situations in the world, he said that if any world war happens it will be for the need of the water because there is very less amount of water which is drinkable. He said that every person should save water for future and if we start saving from today at the rate of 1 liter per day then this small initiative can also save lots water for the future. He also told that we should also go for plantation even once in a year and also take care of that plant forever until it becomes a tree. He also said that we should also make some efforts to make the environment clean. He concluded by saying that we should identify our inner potential and always keep doing hard work until we achieve success and we should take our small initiatives to a level so that in future
it can help us to construct organization or an industry and to give employment to others. In all, sir motivated all the students and faculties to work towards their goals and he said that we should be proud of everything that we do for our country. There is a need to be seen as powerful makes leaders exhibit amplified confidence in their own views. Confidence is perceived by many as an important attribute of leadership. This session is a set example of hardworking story by giving answers to the questions asked by the moderator. The decision making processes is full of fear, anxiety, and insecurity, but is the process of observing
and proper planning helps to generate the leadership qualities in the person. In all, the session was very understandable and was appreciated by the students and faculty members. Students and faculty member summarised teaching and learnings from the session in the end. Dr.Ramesh Pokhriyal Sir added his own examples and experiences to support the leadership and the start-up programs.
