Industrial visit has its own importance in a career of a student who is pursuing a technical degree. It is considered as a part of college curriculum and objectives of industrial visit is to provide students an insight regarding internal working of companies. We know, theoretical knowledge is not enough for making a good professional career. With an aim to go beyond academics, industrial visit provides student a practical perspective on the world of work.

An industrial visit for B. Tech Ist year students was organized at “Arihant Transformers” and “Shirdi Tiles and Poles Industries”. Arihant Transformers is visited by first year students of branch EC and IT1 (31 students), this industry is situated at Sanwer Road, Indore. They manufacture Oil Filled Power Transformers as well as Distribution Transformers. Shirdi Tiles and Poles was visited by students of first year branch CE (B.Tech and Diploma) and IT2 (45 students). This industry is situated at Ujjain – Dewas Highway Road. They manufacture tiles and poles.

The students got to know about the plant layouts and how the machines are being arranged according to the operation performed. The ways through which planning is made out by the PPC department, that is, Production Planning and Control Department. Apart from this how the workers should handle the critical situations during manufacturing process. Industrial visit helps students to gain hands on experience of how industry operations are executed. Industry visits bridge the gap between theoretical training and practical learning in real life environment.
