Expert Lecture

Expert Lecture by Er. S.S. Kutumbale, Consultant was organised for BE CE-IV Year students on Wednesday, 26th Sept 2018 on the topic “Design of Suspension Bridge over River Ganges at Rishikesh – A Case Study”.

The expert lecture was organized to offer a platform for the students to get exposure to the concepts of Construction Procedure of Silo (Reinforced Concrete Structure used for Storage). The practical casting of the columns and reinforcement details were explained with photographs. The details procedure for the design and concepts of the Suspension Bridge constructed on the River Ganga at Haridwar (Harkipodi) was also explained by the speaker. The Bridge was designed by the Er. SS Kutumbkae and is listed in the Top Ten Bridges of its kind in the World. The topics were in relevance to the curriculum as per the RGPV syllabus. It was an interactive session and the students gained a lot from this session.
