Position Summary

The Marketing and Event Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of a multi-faceted marketing plan to increase awareness of Milender White’s achievements, brand, capabilities, and strengths among key audiences and to effectively support business development efforts to win new business and penetrate new industries and markets. This position supports the CA district and is a hybrid role, based out of the Newport Beach, CA office near John Wayne Airport.

This position includes a broad array of responsibilities at Milender White to support the company’s business goals through consistently high-quality content. This strategy will incorporate social media, collateral materials, recruiting materials, videos, photos, management of website content and project site branding. The coordinator will also be responsible for creating, editing and publishing internal communications, to reinforce the Milender White brand and support employee retention and recruitment efforts. The position also supports company initiatives in event planning and the organization and administration of employee and client experiences.

This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing or a degree in marketing, business administration or event management. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of marketing initiatives (social media, video, photo, and graphics production, website upkeep, presentation design skills, etc.) Experience with marketing and event planning for in the construction, design or development industries is a benefit, but not a requirement.

Essential Job Functions And Responsibilities

Social Media Marketing & Online presence monitoring

  • Assist with content for all Milender White social media channels, including regular posting and tracking of KPIs; coordinate with project teams for timely content
  • Monitor activity of partner/competitive social media channels, press, etc.
  • Monitor MW in the news / other social media to protect brand image and share good news

Event Management

  • Plan and implement employee and partner events, such as trade partner appreciation events, golf tournaments, seminars, etc.
  • Create the communications, organization, document, and data tracking for all events
  • Manage an event budget and report out on event metrics

Design / Content Creation

  • Assist with the creation and/or updating grab’n’go marketing materials, presentations, data designs, etc. for the executive team
  • Assist with internal communication, such as a company newsletter and announcements
  • Assist with the creation of content for the website, proposals, recruiting, website & social media content, company presentations, etc.

Website Maintenance

  • Regularly update the Milender White & Development websites, changing features and creating new content
  • Create content for all websites, including regular updating and tracking of KPIs

Marketing Project Assistance

  • Help manage Project Marketing Plans (site branding, collecting award & photo content, etc.)
  • Help create project-specific communications and marketing content for MW Development

Visual Media Assistance

  • Maintain personnel and project photos
  • Assemble complex data into usable graphics, charts, and graphs
  • Create print and video collateral, including the hiring of vendors and management of projects as required

Position Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or public relations or a minimum of 2 years of experience in communications and marketing preferred 
  • Strong skills in organization, written communication, project management and task execution
  • The ability to effectively contribute to social media channels
  • Experience with photo and video production, print design projects, and graphics a plus!
  • Understanding of website platforms and experience with website management
  • Demonstrated time management skills, including the ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Stress tolerance and a positive attitude
  • Willingness to learn new things and assist others
  • Experience with office, graphic and presentation design software technologies such as:
  • MS Office Suite, Canva, InDesign, Visio, Photoshop, Illustrator, Prezi, Adobe Suite, Video Editing, etc.
  • Experience converting data to charts and graphs or other visuals

Salary Range: $68,640-$80,000
