Site Merchandiser – Next-Gen Retail Innovation

Location: Onsite in Seattle, WA

Duration: 3-Month W2 Contract

Pay: $35–$41/hour, depending on experience

About the Role:

Russell Tobin & Associates is supporting a leading retail-tech client that is reimagining the in-store shopping experience through digital innovation and data-driven merchandising. We are looking for a Site Merchandiser II to join this fast-paced and highly creative team.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, thrives in dynamic environments, and enjoys blending the art and science of merchandising. You'll play a critical role in executing in-store resets and layout changes while contributing to process improvements and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Planogram & Merchandising Execution

  • Build and update planograms to support store resets and renovations
  • Manage exception requests and maintain monthly capacity accuracy
  • Execute resets for urban and suburban store formats across major markets (e.g., Seattle, Chicago, NYC, Los Angeles)
  • Update floor plans and perform minor database key changes

Administrative & Process Support

  • Troubleshoot and resolve merchandising errors
  • Model fixtures and accessories for upcoming resets
  • Document standard operating procedures (SOPs), playbooks, and visual references
  • Capture and organize store photos for internal use

Team Collaboration

  • Participate in weekly syncs to review merchandising priorities and assigned tasks
  • Coordinate with team leads to manage deliverables and flag additional needs

Required Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years of retail merchandising experience
  • Strong working knowledge of JDA (Category Management or Space Planning)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel , including pivot tables and v-lookups
  • Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines
  • High attention to detail and excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Customer-obsessed with a problem-solving mindset

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience with social media or brand storytelling in a retail context
