Job Description

We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic Banquet Servers to provide great service and memorable experience to our guests. The position is an-call but could be part-time or full-time if you have open availability and willingness to also work in the hotel's restaurant or other departments. Benefits:

Key responsibilities of a banquet server:
  • Event setup and breakdown: Preparing tables by setting linens, silverware, glassware, and decorations according to event specifications, setting up buffet stations, and assisting with post-event cleanup.
  • Food and beverage service: Serving food and drinks to guests at tables or buffet stations, ensuring proper presentation and timing of courses, refilling beverages, and addressing any special dietary needs.
  • Guest interaction: Engaging with guests to ensure their satisfaction, responding to requests promptly, and providing information about the menu options.
  • Communication with kitchen staff: Relaying food orders accurately to the kitchen, communicating any guest concerns or special instructions, and coordinating service flow.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and safety: Adhering to sanitation standards, properly handling food and beverages, and maintaining a clean work area.
Skills and qualities needed for a banquet server:
  • Excellent customer service skills: Ability to interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, anticipate their needs, and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Attention to detail: Ensuring tables are set correctly, food is served accurately, and service is consistent throughout the event.
  • Physical stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift trays, and carry heavy items.
  • Teamwork: Collaborating effectively with other servers, kitchen staff, and event planners to ensure a smooth event.
  • Flexibility: Adapting to different event formats, menus, and guest expectations.
