Salary: $86,500 - $108,000 / year

Other Forms of Compensation: Yearly Bonus Incentive

Job Summary:

The Operations Service Manager will ensure that the branch operations run efficiently and according to all standard operating procedures. You’ll play an important role in ensuring our drivers, warehouse associates, service technicians and associate care center teams are supported and led at the highest level. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in leading teams, customer service, fleet management, safety and warehouse operations. This role is internal facing and is a part of a high functioning team, working closely with the Customer Service Managers and other key branch leaders to ensure that our associates can work in a positive and safe working environment where their needs are met.

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:

• On-site at branch daily, working with internal associates and branch leadership to drive efficient operations
• Leads the team of route drivers, ensuring we maintain appropriate staffing levels with safe, well- trained drivers to meet the needs of our clients
• Serves as the fleet champion for the branch, ensuring key performance metrics in sustainability, finance and safety are achieved
• Leads the associate care center, ensuring the appropriate leader is in place to connect with drivers and daily tasks are completed according to Canteen policy
• Partners with the fresh food and maxis branch leaders to validate compliance with standardized processes, meeting financial targets that drive revenue and effectively manage margin (spoilage/inventory/etc.)
• Works closely with branch leadership to identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and act with urgency to address internal issues to ensure client needs are met within a timely manner
• Collaborate with leaders in warehouse, equipment and building operations to develop plans to grow the business and ensure compliance with company initiatives and processes
• Collaborates regularly with Customer Service Managers to understand their clients' needs and strategically develop customized solutions to grow accounts and retain clients
• Oversee the execution of corporate & regional strategies
• Maintain strong communication, ensuring that all initiatives are completed on time, within budget, aligned with defined objectives and that results are tracked
• Knowledge of systems, equipment & point-of-sales technology and can troubleshoot on-site as needed.
• Knowledge of products, planograms and client preferences
• Knowledge of local/national account restrictions
• Knowledge of all equipment, fleet and technology used by team to run effective routes and operate an efficient warehouse
• Skilled in preparing reports to be used in presentations to associates or leadership
• Coordinate and organize resources in efficient and effective ways to accomplish larger strategies and goals
• Ensure all locations and their equipment follow company policies, procedures, guidelines, legal & safety standards and health & safety legislation
• Individuals will notify a member of Senior Management of any information that would be beneficial in account retention or that may jeopardize the business
• Other duties may be assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

• Must be highly organized, possess strong written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to change and thrive in a dynamic environment, while maintaining a positive and patient attitude
• Work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Assertive, yet capable of building and maintaining effective relationships
• High attention to detail and exceptional work quality
• Project management experience is a plus as well as bilingual (Spanish) 
• Retail management and merchandising experience is a plus
• Warehouse and purchasing experience a plus
• Willing and able to travel up to 25% throughout the region as required
