Highlights:

As the final year students are gearing up to land with their first job, an interaction with Mr. Mayank Upadhyay, an alumnus of 2006 batch, was arranged, in the central auditorium from 11.30 on 15th November’18.

Mr Mayank Upadhyay presently working with HSBC SDPL, Pune in the capacity of project manager has an experience of around 9 years. He has also worked with companies like Vodafone, Amdocs and Wipro, in various capacities.

Mayank said that just like all other things in life, we need to prepare an “Action Plan” in order to land to the perfect first job. He addressed various queries of the audience. The speaker emphasized on having good friends, rapport with seniors and juniors. He said communication plays a vital role in any interview. He taught the students the techniques of diverting the interview towards their knowledge domain. Mr. Mayank told the students, to be ready with a list of three to four ‘Your favourite Subject Areas’ because he said that there are companies which try to test how good you are in your strength areas and select you on the basis of that knowledge even if that is not relevant to the job profile on offer.

Mayank told the audience to maintain a hobby, which acts as a stress buster.

According to him one should have a perfect resume with a combination of Qualifications/ Scores, Internships/ Projects/ Certifications, Extracurricular Activities.

He ended the session with the mantra, ‘Plan well, Prepare hard and be Positive’!
