Job Description

Summary
In the position of Warehouse Clerk you will be responsible for various tasks related to inventory management, goods storage, and warehouse organization. Involves administrative duties and hands-on work, including receiving and processing incoming stock and materials. Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Ensure loads are accurate and on time.
Essential Job Functions
Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying, and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products.
Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, Certificate of Analysis (COA), packing slips, Bill of Lading (BOL) to verify accuracy on incoming or outgoing shipment.
Communicate with shift supervisor for direction on shipment problems, such as damages, shortages and nonconformance to specifications.
Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials.
Checks specification sheets and other written instructions and prepares outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
Read customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed.
Position Requirements
Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of -- Communication, Business Administration, or related course work.
Additional Experience Desired: Minimum 1 year of experience in shipping and receiving in a warehouse, distribution facility
Additional Experience Desired: Minimum 1 year of experience in administrative role
Computer Skills Desired: Proficiency with standard office software (such as MS Office Suite; Excel, Word, Outlook).
Experience using SAP and Smart sheets
Additional Knowledge or Skills to be Successful in this role: Knowledge of data analysis, inventory management and forecasting techniques
Base Salary Range: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
